Trustees wanted
As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Yorkshire Coat Families, the current Board of Trustees has decided that it’s time for them to step down. With our children now at an age where they no longer require the services the charity provides, we believe it’s crucial for the members who benefit from our work to take a more active role in shaping and running the organisation.
Over the course of this year, we aim to recruit a new Board of Trustees and support them through a smooth transition. We have set a deadline of 31st December to secure a full board; if we are unable to do so, we will have no choice but to close the charity.
The trustees have worked hard over the years and would strongly prefer to transfer the charity to new trustees rather than see it close. To support a smooth transition, the current trustees are committed to working alongside any new trustees for a year, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their new roles.
The first step in this process will be issuing an Expression of Interest to potential candidates, with further discussions taking place at our AGM on Thursday, 20th February.
